Hidden Spire
Hidden Spire 2017 is a year-long project which began by investigating the importance of mess and how diving into the mess (rather than trying to tidy it up) is sometimes the best route to understanding.
The project brings professional theatre makers, a film maker and homeless people together to produce a high quality theatre production to be performed here at The Old Fire Station in October 2017.
In September a handful of Crisis members and professional artists spent two weeks exploring the theme of A Beautiful Mess. Personal stories intertwine with ensemble moments at the circus, to explore journeys both physical and emotional. This short piece represents a moment in the process.

Murder Amongst the Spires
Written by Lucy Hoult
Performed by Lucy Hoult, Tania Higgins, Steve Dineen, and Benji Ming
‘Murder Amongst The Spires’ tells the true life murder of Oxford resident, Ann Crotchley.
Watchman, ‘Cromwell’ guides the audience through the events that lead to the fateful night on December 1827. Ann Crotchley’s murderer was never brought to justice and so we leave the audience to make their own judgement as to which of the characters committed the crime.
The script was originally written as a promenade piece but we are interested in the possibility of adapting if for other situations.
